having looked over the designs and styles i had gained a better understanding of their aesthetics and so went on to develop some ideas. i developed these ideas off the top and didnt really think that much about how they might be associated with the brand aesthetics and went too much into how i could entend their aesthetics using my own illustrative styles.
i had a brief meeting to talk about my progression and ideas and showed the above proposals to the client. they liked how they look but were concerned that the ideas didnt really encompass their designs and went too far away from the originial range. i agreed with them and decided to revisit the page in order to develop a more appropriate design.
i looked over the look book again and took aspects from their designs such as the black white split and the paint splatters. i then proceeded to develop an idea more in line with their range.
i sent the design over and they were all really enthusiastic with the sorts of aesthetics included and were happy that they related well to the product range.
on the night i was joined by jasper who was able to record the night and supply me with photos of the progression of my piece. i was presented with three boards with canvas mounted which i prepped with black and white emulsion generating a central line split. i then proceeded to produce the piece over the night from about 8pm to 11pm.
