OUGD603. Extended Practice. PTSPD Yearbook: Brainstorm and Meeting

having accepted the brief and having written my own we then decided to meet in order to establish some basic ideas and explore each others initial ideas. we all had many and we were all enthusiastic to begin with the development so i decided to take notes -

collectively we considered that:

• idea of year as a tribe could influence design and concept
• students sit in rows - could dictate/visualise contents
• should include photo spreads
• should include info graphics about course
• will be 96 pages total - works for printing and binding
• 1 page 1 student - include contact deets etc (small copy)
• cover page - student work

having come up with these basic ideas danielle then organised a meeting with two tutors from textiles; duncan and emma.

i made some notes in brief about their feedback and danielle made some more formal notes

• like cover image being a piece of work - colourful and shape based
• uncoated stock
• arrange class photo

we recognised that since the course has a large number of students it would probably be quite difficult to get all their work in any short space of time and so to avoid any stress and longness we decided to address that straight away.
