a friend, who i have helped with design work in the past, asked me to get in touch with him about a CD case design. when back home i did so and he informed me that he would like me to do a quick turn around job laying out and applying the content that he had prepared to a CD case format so that he could hand it in for a university project.
i happily accepted and he sent me the information over and so i wrote a brief out for it

MUSIC CD CASE DESIGN

Brief:
The client is in
need of a quick turn around layout and print production brief for a
university project hand in. The client has provided the imagery needed to
be applied to the design and it is up to the designer to design the layout
and add the content to the design for print and production. The designer
must consider the typographic choices and the formal layout in line with a
CD case.

Background:
Borrowdale is a
third year music tech. student at Leeds Met. University who has produced a
number of tracks in order to hand in for one of his final hand ins. He requires
the designer to produce the final CD case designs for this hand in.

Considerations:
- How the
designer will lay the imagery out
- What fonts
might be used to embody the necessary contents
- What typographic
layout might be applied to the design.
