BRIEF TITLE: CLASSROOM
TYPE MURAL
|
Brief:
Since the small
briefing room had a make over at the start of the year, and now features a
beautiful illustrative mural, consideration has been given to the current
aesthetic of the level 6 room (230). There is a need for a visually
engaging and stimulating mural to inspire students and provide a viewing
break from their studies. Furthermore, a classroom mural could provide a
quality decorative aspect to the room, which currently is solely decorated
by hangings of student work.
|
Background:
The level 4 and 5
classrooms have been refurbished and, so are quality working environments
for creative students. It has been agreed that the level 6 room could use
the same. Being that the room is considerably smaller, furniture or
construction based re-decoration would not be applicable. Instead the
designer must consider and create a well-considered and well-produced
typographic based mural outcome in order to decorate the classroom.
|
Considerations:
· Where in the classroom the mural will be applied
· How the mural will fit with the size, layout, and
spacing of the classroom
· What colour, if any, will be applied
· What typographic elements may be included
· What other visual elements may be included
· What medium the mural will be produced with
· How the content of the mural will inspire and
visually engage the audience
