i was happy to do this brief because it was for a friend and i knew that because of the time limit it would be a quick turn around brief for me to complete. the client was happy with the outcome and i was happy with the progression i had made in such a short space of time (total turn around approx. 3 hours).
i have learned not to completely trust online specification guides or at least to do a physical check myself because they may just be a general or basic guide and not take into account the specifics of dimensions.
i have also learned more about photo editing and resizing in photoshop so that images when placed in indesign can be clear and crisp instantly for print.
i have learned more about the importance of test printing and have considered its use more so with this brief. this has allowed me to be more exact when producing the final outcome ready for the client to use.
next time i will make more of an effort in my stock consideration because while the grainy textured sugar paper type stock looked nice and presented a matt finish with the imagery it was not fully in line with a typical CD case which would usually be printed on a more glossy stock.
otherwise i am happy with how i conducted myself on this brief and am glad to have been able to help a friend.
