OUGD603. Extended Practice. ROYAL ALBERT BEER MAT COMPETITION. Outcome

i have been exploring the use of gradients more this year and so thought this could be an interesting colour application to the pattern.

i tried add some more depth through colour with this design to make it more fun and engaging
this colourway is aimed to mimic cartoon beer colours and the purple acts as a complementary contrast to make the type clearer and more legible.
i think this design and colour scheme is my favourite as it is really bright and lighthearted and adds a quality of good qweather and the association of good times and a positive attitude which i think is something that pub customers might feel refreshed to see.

i then submitted my designs to the appropriate email address.

i recieved this reply and so am now waiting on a response to see if i won:

Hi Joe

Thank you very much for the entry. We’ll be in touch.

Richard
