BRIEF TITLE: PTSPD
YEARBOOK DESIGN
|
Brief:
The Printed Textiles
and Surface Pattern Design course at LCA is graduating at the end of this
year. The course needs a team of graphic design students to design their
yearbook in order to promote the course to industry professionals and
prospective students. The team must work together to develop a concept
relevant to the course and its students, design working and professional
layouts to house the work produced by the year, and meet all the
requirements of the course and faculty.
|
Background:
The Printed Textiles
and Surface Pattern Design course is the largest course at LCA and as such
is one of the most popular. The course is more than just commercial pattern
design and guides the students to develop their own unique style within the
broader industry. The students work is varied and of a highly sought after
standard. The yearbook should, therefore, reflect that!
|
Considerations:
· What does the course entail and what are the
students like
· What sorts of work are produced and how might
they appear in a publication

layout, colour, type, stock, printing and finishing
|

informing the design development
